What’s involved in getting veneers?

First, you have a consultation with the team at Union Square Dental to discuss what you hope to achieve with your veneers. Some patients like to bring in photos of smiles that they admire to show their dentist just how they want their new smile to look.

Next, you and your dentist select a size, shape, and color for your veneers that best enhance your smile while complementing the rest of your facial features. Then, your dentist prepares your teeth for your veneers. This involves making room for the veneers by shaving a very thin layer of enamel from the front of your teeth. 

After your dentist prepares your teeth, they take an impression of your mouth. The impression is sent to a lab that fabricates your veneers, and you wear a set of temporary veneers in the meantime. 

You come back to Union Square Dental a few weeks later when your permanent veneers are back from the lab. Your dentist checks that they fit comfortably and look good, then seals them in place with dental cement.
